How To Be A Bitch

Instructions for being a good Bitch: Don’t reveal your sources, don’t blow your cover, and don’t let it go to your head.

Time for a bit of cloak and dagger work. I’d love you all to get out there and take on the world. Think a restaurant needs a slap? Add a comment to this site (anonymously if you prefer). If you want to email a comment to me, please do so and if it’s appropriate (i.e., doesn’t ask me out on a date, doesn’t incite racial hatred, doesn’t support the other G Dubbya) I will add it to the site. I promise to protect your identity, your integrity, and your right to freedom of speech. Just remember, if you put your name on this blog, don’t go booking into restaurants under the same name! Use mine and let me know what happens! Hobart is after all a small town and there are always those in the know (believe me, I know!).

Ok. I've read enough to ascertain you really are interested in the seamier tales of some of Hobart's eating establishments...
Athena's. Was it that long ago that our mouths salivated at the thought of a little greek on the pier? The location was big enough to even attract our former Gov for a pre-wedding function. All was going well till he tripped over that lady's handbag...
But I digress. The first problem is overcharging. They're renowned for it. Just ask the rest of the Greek community. Usually with big groups and large amounts. Once pointed out, it's duly corrected. But on the last(or should I say final) three occasions we've saved enough to feed a small country.
Of course, you heard about their antics during the year with the tour group? Story was in the Mercury, how a "local restuarant" held a tour booking, which was cancelled by the group a couple of weeks out. The tour group then booked at a traditional seafood restaurant. The day before the tour group was due to arrive, you guessed it, the seafood restaurant received the tour group's cancellation. Except they didn't. It was actually our friendly "local restaurant" who made the second cancellation in a bid to win back the group booking. Worst part? The owner of the seafood restaurant was dining at the "local restaurant" when the second cancellation occured. Noice!
